Helena M. Richie
Physics Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Pittsburgh

I’m a sixth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh, working with Prof. Evan Schneider.
My work focuses on using simulations to study the evolution of dust and galaxies. Specfically, I’m using Cholla, a GPU-based hydrodynamics code, to create high-resolution simulations of dusty, galactic outflows with the goal of understanding the source and nature of dust in the circumgalactic medium.
Here, you can find a list of my publications and CV, along with some posts about my research projects. Movies of my simulations can be found here and on Vimeo.
